Jennifer

From Jennifer:

My love of photography began on my 9th birthday when my parents gave me a camera. From that day forward I always had a camera in my hand, photographing life, documenting my family and my friends in everything we did. I loved having friends over, styling them and taking their photos. I also enjoyed a lot of quiet time, driving and looking for the beautiful things in this world, stopping, and capturing them. The ocean, a beautiful flower, an animal, a person, I saw beauty in all of this and more. A large part of my love of photography is the beauty and emotion I am able to capture in my subjects.

Being a quiet and reflective personality, I used photography as my way of expression and connection. I would attend school or work, then hop in my car and go to the beach or the mountains, or whatever was calling me that day and photograph it. I found a lot of peace and joy in this.

I began photographing professionally in 1999, after training with several renowned photographers. I found I love capturing people in love and experiencing love. This is such an amazing part of life. I am so lucky to do a job that brings so much joy and happiness. I found my passion for capturing people naturally, in their expressions, full of emotion to be both challenging and extremely rewarding at the same time. Weddings, families, babies, children, events, they all bring such excitement and so much emotion. I love to hang back, and just document what I see, be it the tiniest details to the largest of portraits, my heart is in it all. I am thankful to have a job that I am passionate about.
